This January transfer window proves to be a period of intense speculation and potential major transfers. Numerous prominent stars find themselves linked with moves away from their current teams. Here is a look at some of the top names that could be on the move this month.

A. Semenyo

Despite Ghana's failure to qualify for the AFCON, this has left the forward available, it appears a major transfer is close. The 25-year-old possesses a contract featuring a substantial release clause applicable for a short window in early January. Recent developments suggest the Premier League champions look to have won the race for his signature. Other suitors such as Chelsea and Tottenham reportedly have turned their attention to other options, potentially opening the door for teams such as Manchester United or Liverpool to attempt a late move.

M. Guéhi

The English centre-back has continued to excel for Crystal Palace despite a previous transfer to Anfield falling through. As his contract set to run out in the close season, January is the club's last opportunity to secure a transfer fee for their skipper. Numerous elite clubs, including City and several European giants including Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, are believed to be interested.
